Any plans for a Windows version of the app?

Loving this app and excited to see it further developed. Also, hoping there will be a Window's version of it. Does anyone know?

It's unlikely that there will be a Windows version of the app anytime soon, unfortunately. Gospel Library is the only member-facing app developed by the Church for Windows (Windows 8.1/10), and it's a volunteer project – so resources are very limited. LDS Tools for Windows did exist, but it was recently removed from the Windows Store because there weren't enough resources to update it to current standards.

Windows has a large user base, but most of that user base is in the desktop/laptop computer space, not the mobile space (which is small compared to Android and iOS). The Church hasn't shown a lot of interest in developing apps for desktop computers, because desktop computers are more likely to have consistent internet access, which allows people to access resources directly at LDS.org.

I'd expect that LDS Media would be more focused on teaching rather than individual study. Something that may change the equation is if the church notices that a lot of teachers are using laptops rather then mobile devices for classroom use.

I think the official stance is still to download media before class rather than rely on the meetinghouse internet. But beyond that, it seems to be BYOD. So far, I'm not seeing a general trend on what teachers are gravitating toward.

Windows also has full file management for storing and organizing downloaded media, whereas iOS and Android tend to hide the filesystem, so iOS and Android benefit more from the ability to keep your media self-contained "in" the app.
