Membership of circles

Is there a way to remove individuals from the default circles? For instance, our Young Women's organization has a circle but it also includes the bishopric. Is there a way to make one for just the girls?

Each circle seems to include each child, their parents, the organizations leadership, and the ward leadership. I would assume that this is so the children cannot bully each other and know their conversations can be seen by all. This helps deter inappropriate conversations via messenger. Not sure this will go away... but who knows

Yes, I’d appreciate a circle for just the girls and their leaders. Is it possible for leaders to contact youth 1:1 through circles? If so, is the parent notified? If not, is there a way to opt my child out of circles?
