I make lots of notes in the online scriptures and here is what I have to do to read a previous note as I am reading the scriptures online:

1. Hover over the reference
2. Click on "Edit Note"
3. Scroll through the entire note
4. Click on the X or click away

I find this process cumbersome, especially if I want to go back and forth between different notes, editing and refining them. What would be great is if I could read and edit the notes in another column, similar to how Microsoft Word shows reviewer's comments in another column. This would make the whole process of creating and using annotations much more fluid.

Some additional related features:

• Share notes with another person and see each set of notes in their own column.
• See the Footnotes in another column as well so I don't have to click on them and so they are easier to browse.

Hi nebosite and thanks for posting your thoughts. This is primarily a user-to-user forum. For the church to be aware of your suggestion, you need to submit it through the "Feedback" link found at the bottom of most pages on lds.org. Feedback submitted this week is reviewed.

We've heard rumor that the church is revising this feature, so your input may be timely. We have no idea if/when any changes will be released.

I use the online notes feature a lot, too, and find much of it in need of improvement so it would be more usable. I like your ideas..
