Here is the solution I came up with for our stake RS who wanted to set up a website to advertise their women's conference and the stake president approved it: . The stake RS president would set up an account with gmail or a similar web based mail program. The email address could be something related to RS such as stakeRS2009@. I would add her as an administrator on the stake web site and show her how to send a broadcast message. She then updates her profile with the new email address so any replies to her broadcast will come to that address. This means that any message she broadcasts to the stake sisters will have her name as sender. I have also suggested to her that she share the user name and password for the new email account with her counselors and/or secretary so they can help monitor the replies. I also will have this information so I can access the account to clear up the inevitable returned emails.
Does this idea seem like it would work?

I just read my post and I need to clarify something. The stake president DID NOT approve a website. He approved my idea for using the LUWS to advertise the women's conference.

Along the same lines, what we've done is place a PDF of the flyer in the "news" area and send a broadcast email. I think one time I included a link. Funny thing, you don't have to be logged into LUWS to use the link.

I have used the "Additional Web Resources" to add links to the TFOT and the Visiting Teaching Message each month. It is both a good and bad thing that they don't have to log on to access these, good because more can access these lessons, bad because it does nothing to encourage them to register..
