I have been trying to get two records two merge but the nonmember record will not appear for the top field and I am at a loss for how to get them put together. Do I just hide the record?

For others reading this thread the procedures to merge donors are found on Adding and Updating Donor Records > To merge two donor records in MLS.

I cannot explain why a nonmember donor will not show in the "From Donor" field. If there are no donations associated with the nonmember donor record for this year then it really is a moot point as to merging with the member donor record. There is nothing to merge even though the donor record exists. Donations are tracked from year to year. If this is the case then I would just Hide the nonmember donor record to prevent donations from being recorded against that record for this year.

If, however, there is a donation recorded for this year for the nonmember donor record and you cannot get the nonmember donor record name to come up in the "From Donor" field then you may have to manually go to each donation recorded for this year and change the donor name to the member donor record.
