Sony EVI-D100

Has any tried to use a Sony EVI-D100? My concerns are:
1. Zoom - it has a 10x zoom compared to the 18x on the D70. I want to still get the closeup shots of the speaker without using the digital zoom.
2. Does the Control software created by CWShop work on the D100? Which really means are the D70 and D100 controlled the same way - Including the text overlay capabilities?
3. The D100 doesn't seem to have a "flip" switch to allow the camera to be mounted on the ceiling. Is that correct or is there a software switch somewhere that would allow flipping the image?
4. One of the threads in this forum, speaking about a different camera, mentioned auto focus taking too long when panning. Does the D100 focus quick enough to not be distracting to the viewers?
Any thoughts and advice are welcomed!
