Webcast Player

Post by lajackson »

During our stake conference webcast today, the server blessed us with a momentary drop that drove one of our slower receiving units into 46k mode, rendering the video useless. The player Tool icon would not take the video back to Auto. Our only option was to refresh the web page in the browser and restart the feed, which did return the webcast to its better setting.

Is the player supposed to try to recover from something like that, or has it been changed to leave a lower speed alone so it is not constantly glitching while trying to reach for a better experience?

We will need to monitor more carefully during these drops if the software is not going to recover for us. Our little branch really suffered until I figured out a suggestion to help them.

See this forum viewtopic.php?f=27&t=35131 for my comment on Max Buffer Limit setting that may help out.
