Teradek stuck at "Starting"

Post by dlslade »

I have been running tests with our Teradek this week and cannot get it to go live. It is set for auto-configuration and downloads the setup and stream information just fine. It shows "Ready" with a good video input and network connection, but when I try to go live it gets stuck at "Starting". I have tried using different servers as recommend by the Global Service Center to no avail. I have also tried it in different buildings with the same result. Has anyone else seen this problem or know how I might troubleshoot it? The Teradek firmware version is 3.1.12r35120.

The basic Teredek device firmware should be version 3.0.8. Check the Help Centre Webcast section.

Downgrading the firmware was going to be my next step. The Teradek was set to auto-update. Going to 3.0.7 for Teradek Pro seems to have resolved the issue.

In another post someone said the Teradek VidiU Pro has a default setting that trips up the webcast system. If you were able to roll back the firmware level and it solved the problem, I am sure they would love to hear it.

Now, if I can just find that other topic ...

Downgrading the firmware fixed my stuck "starting" issue.
I followed these steps:
