(I'm pretty sure this is an appropriate place to post this)
OpenGospel is an Open Source, Gospel Library like application for Linux. I had the idea when I looked at the thread here.

The Goal
A way to read the scriptures on Linux that:

* Is distraction free
* Fast
* Themable
* Offline**
* Syncs with your LDS Account**

Current Status

* No custom themes yet, but a Night Mode is available
* Not yet fully offline, only First Nephi can be read offline for now
* The LDS Account Syncing is highly unlikely to happen

The source code and project is on Github. Thoughts?

Any idea if it'll run on Mac?

I haven't tested it, but it could possibly work. It doesn't sound like it would be easy for the average user however.

Hi!

I'm a software test engineer for the embedded system if there is any way I can help you with your project.

We could use raspberry pi, to read the gospel.

I'm on Debian and would like to help make this a reality if possible.

I am on Ubuntu and I would like to have this app as well available. I am able to test if it is necessary.

I'm also on Ubuntu and would love to help develop the project. Why do you say that LDS account syncing is highly unlikely?
