My son is currently serving as a full-time missionary in Utah. He says that his "home stake" is still showing as our Stake in LDS Tools, even though he's been reassigned twice now.
Can someone please tell me who I need to contact to get his membership records "unattached" from his home stake, so his records will follow him as he moves to different areas on his mission. He says it would be ideal if he could look up contact information on the members in his area.
Would that be something I should ask our own Membership Clerk about?
Or is this something he would need to do on his end? (he's not sure how to fix this)

It works differently for missionaries. The mission office inputs his assigned area and that will grant him rights as he moves from assignment to assignment. His membership record does NOT move with him and stays in his home ward.
