Of the ward callings handled by the stake (i.e. bishop, EQ president, etc.), which of those callings does the stake clerk need to input/update in LCR (if any)? I want to make sure that any ward callings that are handled by the stake in terms of inputting/updating LCR are handled accordingly.

I think the only time the stake has to do it is when there isn't two people available in the ward who have the rights to record callings.

However, I think things get ugly if the ward tries to change the bishop (that auto-releases the councilors), so the stake probably needs to be involved when the bishop changes. I think the ward can usually manage when it's just a councilor or clerk that changes.

I was just called as the assistant ward clerk over finance. A member of the bishopric added me to the calling and assisted me to MLS. It was around 11:30 am this morning. I saw that it can take 6 hours to update. It is now 8:30 and I still do not have access. From reading this post does another bishopric member need to some how also assign me to this calling?

Thanks!

If only one person set you up, I'd be concerned that you were entered as a custom calling. That will never work.

But we also advise people to wait 24 hours for rights to kick in before getting too concerned.

To have any effect the calling must be entered in LCR by two bishopric members already having finance rights. MLS access allows you to do tithing and budget actions, amongst other things. And as stated elsewhere, it can take up to 24 hours for the calling to permeate through the various systems.
