What would you do with this membership
We have a member who left her family. She was the only baptized member, but her child who are 8 and 10 do have records. Husband has no record, and the children are living with the husband. Not sure what to do with the children's records. Keep them here with the non-member father who will be moving soon, or just move them with the mother. Ideas??

Suggest the Bishop should consult with the Stake President and decide what to do. In such a case in the past, the needs of the children have come first in my experience. Question is where will they get exposure to the Church?

The records should be where the member lives. (General Handbook 33.6, second paragraph)
Make the 10 year old the "head of house" and move the record when they move with the husband. (See Make Changes to Member Households)
Since the husband isn't a member, you can't make him "head of house".
When the records are moved, it probably would be a good idea for bishop to contact the new bishop and get him up to speed, and not just drop the names on him.
