Is There a limits on the Max value of a donation using online tool
If I am to pay a tithe on capital gains in the tens of thousands can this be processed using the online tools for submission or will this require other channels?

I'm not aware of a limit. You can always try and see what happens.
I'd be more concerned about a limit your bank might have on an electronic transaction. Just because the church is willing to process it doesn't mean that your bank will play along.
Edit: a quick Google turned up this page. Scroll about a third of the way down to see a list by banks.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I believe if the Church accepts the entry at the online donation site, the bank will probably pay it.russellhltn wrote:Just because the church is willing to process it doesn't mean that your bank will play along.
I generally use two banks. One bank has a $25,000 limit on ACH transfers. The other bank only allows $5,000 transfers. But that is the originating limit. When I need to transfer a larger amount, I go to the 5-digit bank and originate the transaction there. The 4-digit bank has always honored the request from the 5-digit bank without fussing.
I also have a brokerage account and am able to originate transfers there of up to $100,000. Both banks still play nice when the transfer amount is over the bank originating limit.
So if the online Donations page takes the entry, I think you should be fine. Make sure the full amount is available at the bank before you initiate the donation request, of course.
