Creating a missionary application/preparation workflow

Postby aaronrturner » Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:16 am

New clerk here... my bishop just asked me to put together a workflow to help him better coordinate the missionary application/preparation workflow. For example, there have been some last-minute patriarchal blessings, some overly-rushed Melchizedek priesthood ordinations, etc.

In looking at the data that is available to me as a clerk, I think I could do a monthly pull of data, then create a Google Docs/Sheets workflow which could better track/forecast the necessary paperwork, activities, etc. Has anyone done something similar? It looks like I've got about 20 young men in the missionary pipeline in our ward in the next 24 months, so doing this in a repeatable, manageable way would be helpful for us.

Maybe this is a feature request for LCR? Any ideas from others are appreciated about how they're managing this sort of things are appreciated.

This workflow is very similar to the workflow and events tracked by the New and Returning Member Progress Record.

Unfortunately, the N&RMPR is not available online as a tracking database. It is intended to be filled and printed.
