Process for Remedying a Malfunctioning Printer

Postby hansg » Sun Nov 03, 2019 2:42 pm

We have a Xerox Phaser 3250 that is depositing horizontal lines of toner throughout the page when we print. We contacted the stake clerk who contact FM who replied:
"The Building Rep is in charge of this printer. He will need to call the phone number on the side of the printer to trouble shoot the issue. If it is under warranty, they will send the parts to replace. If it is not, they will give him a ticket number to give to us so we can order a new one."

The printer does not have a phone number on the side of it? Does anyone know what the phone number is? This seems like a clunky process for getting a printer fixed or replaced. Is this the workflow that others have used to get their printers working again?

Just replace the toner cartridge. It contains toner and drum, so replacing it fixes most problems with that model.

If there are other Phaser 3250 printers nearby, you can try swapping toner cartridges to see if the problem moves from one printer to the other.
