Hi folks,
I was asked in Bishopric meeting what we do with our old temple recommend books (living ordinances). I searched around the forum and cant find any guidance. Help? Thanks in advance.

Re: Disposing of used Temple recommend books
I think General Handbook 26.2.1 - "Safeguarding Temple Recommend Books" would apply
When the Church updates temple recommend books, leaders destroy the outdated books.

Re: Disposing of used Temple recommend books
My understanding is that old, used up temple recommend books should be retained until the last recommend issued would be expired, and then they should be destroyed.

I thought the retention and destruction instructions were printed in the recommend book? If not, then they are in the Help Center article on record retention.
