If you sign into the site then you can see the boundaries. It will let you pick ward/stake/mission/area boundaries.mdfogg wrote: Suggestions...
It would be nice to be able to see Ward and Stake boundaries the way this site (http://maps.huge.info/zip.htm) shows zip codes. It would help clerks verify which Ward/Branch to move members too. (at least make the blue boundary line more opaque so you can see the street names).
It would be really nice to be able to see this information for other areas as well as those for your own stake. I have not moved my records to Indianapolis as I'm not sure how long I'll be here. But if I do move here...
New maps beta now available!

Yes, but only the boundaries for "your" Ward or Stake, not the boundaries for the other Wards in the Stake, etc.ryan jones wrote:If you sign into the site then you can see the boundaries. It will let you pick ward/stake/mission/area boundaries.
I still think the boundary line should be opaque so it does not obliterate the street name. IMO

I'm hoping that Ward/Stake clerks would also have the ability to view the boundaries of other wards within their own stake. At present, this isn't available.
Have you read the Code of Conduct?

I've moved! Address starting point.
Ok, I've moved my record/address to Indiana, however, when I ask for directions, the mapping uses my old address in Iowa as a starting point. Not good.
Any luck with getting the boundary lines to be so you can see street names through them.

Maps in CDOL
While waiting for further upgrades to the beta maps, you should look at the maps available in CDOL, which ward and stake clerks can access. In fact you are not limited to just your stake!techgy wrote:I'm hoping that Ward/Stake clerks would also have the ability to view the boundaries of other wards within their own stake.
Search for your stake of preference (maps are only available for stakes, but include all unit boundaries) and at the top of the screen you'll find a link labeled "Unit Boundary Maps". This link will bring up a dialog where you can select from letter size, poster size (both get you a .pdf) or KMZ versions (rendered using Google Earth).
In the .pdf versions you get the boundaries of the stake and its units and surrounding units to the edge of the map space. Stake and unit names are overlaid and include the unit numbers. Buildings are also marked. It is essentially the same thing you'd get if you asked for a stake map from the boundaries committee.

The login uses LDS Account credentials. Once logged in, you can view locations of all ward members. Clerks have additional tasks available, such as updating or verifying the geocoded locations and a task called "Add households to emergency response categories" which seems like it would be very useful. Another fun link is locations of all church owned facilities (temples, storehouses, seminaries, etc.)
Will write more later - time to beta test!
Great google map integration for the church this map would help leaders and members identify and locate members from their ward. Thanks
I'll be the best I can...
