FWIW, a member donated their old all-in-one TV (VCR & DVD) to the stake. It's become my favorite. It just works. There's no "Set TV to CH3" or "Video" silliness. Turn on TV and stick in the DVD and it runs. No wires that have been misconnected for unknown reasons.

Our FMG is by standard purchasing LG TV's and None of them have supported a flash drive for Video... they do both music and pictures, but no video... Is that just us or is LG a Church standard? If so, that is not going to work too well.JonesRC wrote:We have found in our testing the processing power on SmartTVs to be slow. We have also encountered a lot of buffering issues trying to stream on a LAN. I would not suggest trying to stream content on a SmartTV in the Church. A better option might be to download the media to a USB Flash Drive and use the USB feature on the TV set for video playback.
