Unordained YM - Temple Rec. Status shows "Expired"?

We have a young man in our unit (age 14) who is autistic. He has never been ordained to the priesthood, and that is clearly indicated on his member record. However, when we check the Youth Temple Recommend Status, this individual shows up as having his Temple Recommend "Expired". When you click the "Actions" pencil icon to the right it of his name, the system give me this message, "Cannot Issue Recommend! According to Church records, the member does not hold the appropriate priesthood. Okay, we already know that. The question is why is it showing up as expired in the first place? He should be listed as "unordained" instead.

When you click on the drop-down menu to refine/sort your search where it says "ALL" , one of the sorting options towards the bottom is "Unordained". I'm wondering why the system is showing his recommend status as "Expired" instead of correctly listing him as "Unordained". There is clearly an option to search for "unordained individuals" but it seems like the system is not picking this up to match what is on his membership record. Is there a way to fix this on my end? Or, is it a system glitch? Thanks for your help.

Probably a system glitch. I'd suggest contacting GSD to make sure they're aware of it.

There are several categories in the youth temple recommend pull-down which are not programmed correctly. Am seeing this same problem, plus some young women who have never had recommends are showing expired. So it's not just a no priesthood error. Looks like anyone who has been baptized but never had a recommend is showing as expired, while those not baptized are correctly showing in the not baptized list. I did contact the GSD many months ago about the youth temple number on the home page of LCR not showing correctly, and they told me they were aware and to ignore it and use the number in unit statistics. But this may be a different problem.

I'm not sure as that's a significant difference. Both would be "no active recommend", but that's a bit wordy.

It's significant inasmuch as it implies they have had a recommend prior, which would inform a leader incorrectly if they do not know.

Global Services Department (GSD). When signed into Leader and Clerk Resources click Help > Contact Us and scroll down the page and look in the right hand pane for the Contact Information. It shows the hours of operation for your area, the contact telephone numbers, and the email address.
