Unable to record HT/VT for new convert

#1

Post by swigginton »

We had a convert baptism back in November. The new member was assigned home teachers and visiting teachers, who both made visits in December. For some reason, MLS won't let us record a HT or VT visit for December for this new member.

I doubled-checked the members' record, which shows baptism and confirmation in November. The HT/VT reports for this member show dashes ("---") for Nov and Dec and the checkboxes for those two months are disabled.

Any thoughts about why this might be?

Thanks!

Do you know when the record was "moved in" to the ward? Being a convert baptism, the record would have been created by the mission office and then moved into the ward.

MLS won't let you record visiting stats for the "move-in" month.

That explains it. She was baptized at the end of Nov. Record was moved into the ward the first week of Dec. I didn't realize those records were considered "moved". I learned something new. Thanks for the help!

I was taking a guess. If you run the "move in" report and find her name on there, then that would certainly explain it.

If you can't record the visit, them MLS won't count that family in that month's list. So it won't count against you.
