Are there characters we should consider disallowing in article titles?
I'm curious as to whether there are characters that we should disallow in article titles? I know the use of special characters like colons can make a challenge of an Exact Match search (or Go in Wikipedia), but are there other issues to consider here?

Are you talking about special characters in names or just in general? I suppose that most names in English probably would not have any special characters. Other languages would obviously be a different story. Any special characters, no matter where they exist, can make it a challenge for Exact Match unless the person knows the exact format. However, I believe that clarity in the article title can be greatly helped with special characters. From a fork in another thread,
Illinois County Archives and Libraries
versus
Illinois - County Archives and Libraries
I believe this example can have two completely different meanings depending on how it is read.
