I didn't read all the posts in this forum. What I did read I never saw anything about Single Adults in "Ward Organizations".. I am over the Single Adults in my ward.
So might I suggest in "Directory" - "Ward Organizations" with shows all the different positions. I believe we should include "Single Adults" and "Young Single Adults" in this list. It's very important that we, as members of the Bishopric, communicate with them on activities, special events and church doings. It would also give us access to inactive Single Adult members. Maybe we can bring them home. In our ward the list is quite long. It's hard and time consuming to contact each one by phone or email. Please consider adding these 2 categories to "Ward Organisations".
Thanks,
Earl Miller

Re: Single Adults
Just so you're aware, this is a user forum and the people who make these decisions don't necessarily read posts here. To make sure your request is submitted to the church, use the "Feedback" link found at the bottom of many web pages on lds.org. This will get it to the right place. Another avenue is to have your stake president bring up the request with his contact at the church.
Having a "Young Single Adults" or "Single Adults" choice on the more pubic directory might pose a privacy issue for some people, so I'm not sure the church would want to add these. Either it pinpoints who is single or it gives ages in terms of over/under 30.
You mentioned you're a member of the bishopric. You should have access to online tools to get this information. Just go to Leader and Clerk Resources (clerk.lds.org) and run a membership list. You get a choice of which group's information you want to see, including YSA and SA.

You may also be able to email them as a group using the messaging feature of Leader and Clerk Resources.mevans wrote:Just so you're aware, this is a user forum and the people who make these decisions don't necessarily read posts here. Re: Single Adults
Nit-pick: 30 is still YSA. SA is 31 and over.mevans wrote:it gives ages in terms of over/under 30.
But yes, good points about single/age status on a page that the entire ward/stake sees.
