Re: Duplicate Entries in Study Notebook
I have found it sometimes helps to just switch back and forth between two notebooks, and the problem notebook will reset itself. Don't know why. This is majorly irritating.

Having the same problem. Curious if this is connected: I use the Gospel Library 2.5 Apple app (tried the 3.0 app but it is unusable due to frequent crashing on my iPod). I notice periodically that the 2.5 app says it has never synced. I go to account settings and sync it, but wonder if this somehow plays into the duplication seen on the journal when viewed through the web browser?

This problem still exists. My entries, once I re-arrange them, are multiplying like cursed goblets in Gringott's

Re: Duplicate Entries in Study Notebook
There are a couple of things going on here.
TAGS: If you switch between GL apps and online Notes: The apps allow uppercase and lowercase tags, online Notes only allows lowercase tags. When you sync, any uppercase tags get read as a 'new' tag by Notes. If you sync 10 times, you will likely get 10 'new' tags. To reduce the incidences of this occurring, always use lowercase tags when using the apps.
REORDERING:
1. Online Notes automatically orders things with the 'last saved' date on top - reverse order. The apps arrange things in chronological order. If you switch back and forth, they somehow get all jumbled up - I don't understand it, but that's what happens - as MGChick noticed above.
2. If an item is in a Notebook, you can rearrange the order of anything within the Notebook. Sometimes you will see what appears to be duplicates as you reorder, but in reality they are not really there - if you sign out and sign back in again, they will have disappeared. The app notes you can make may work differently, so if you switch back and forth between the two, this could be part of the problem.

I'm running into the exact same problem. I'd rather keep everything within the LDS app, but it's easier to maintain the order of the entries either working entirely on my iPad (which is a pain for typing) or entirely in a browser on coputer. When they sync with each other they both get screwed up. Thanks to those that work on these things for the church, I love the capabilities, but want to get the most out of them.

Re: Duplicate Entries in Study Notebook
I just lost 4 or more entries of my journal going back to 2014. I am not happy. Looks like this has been an issue for a long time. I suggest a better way to “organize” the entries and control them. The fact that they just duplicate spontaneously and that you cannot re-order them without causing major issues or losing content is quite disturbing. I was using this as my journal, but I’m going to stop. I loved having all of these things together in one place, but losing content isn’t very encouraging.

Re: Duplicate Entries in Study Notebook
Where were the entries? Were they in a specific notebook, or just under "All"? How did you discover they were missing? Do you know a few key words in the entries that you could search for and find them that way? What platform(s) are you using – Android, iOS, Windows, Gospel Library Online?trouthunter wrote:I just lost 4 or more entries of my journal going back to 2014. I am not happy.
