I'm sure someone has encountered this before, but I am not sure how to create a record for a child with these circumstances:
The child is 9 years old.
He is autistic.
He was never blessed.
I do not have the name of his father.
The father is an ex-spouse who is not a member.
The mother has remarried to a member. She is also a member.
I can't add him as a new child because MLS will only accept the entry as a convert baptism.
Is there a work around? If so, what information do I need to make him a member of the family?
Thank you.

Re: Adding a child record
That's a real problem (as you've discovered).jbailey911 wrote:The child is 9 years old.
Sufficiently for the bishop to judge him "Not Accountable"? (See Handbook 1: 13.6.10) Otherwise, this makes no difference.jbailey911 wrote:He is autistic.
Read Handbook 1: 13.6.2 for how this might come into play as far as permission.jbailey911 wrote:I do not have the name of his father.

Ultimately, I think you should contact Local Unit Support and see what they suggest. The fact the child is 9 limits the options you have at your end.
