That's a LCR function. I thought we were talking about the directory. It's two different things.

As for rights in lcr, in lcr go to the toolbar, Other. And then listed under "Other" and you'll see "Access table". That will tell you who has rights to what in lcr.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

David was asking about sending email. I garbled my reply - I meant to say that he can't send email to people listed in the directory. sorry for the confusion.

In any event, thank you for the direction to the "access table". I appreciate the help.

It's actually pretty straightforward: bishopric and clerks with membership access.

As russellhltn pointed out, it is listed in the access table. It was also documented in the LCR 3.1 release notes.
