Clerk and Technology Support Calendar
A tool that is available online for clerks and leaders is a calendar that has been populated with significant dates of when things need to be done. For example when does tithing settlement start or end, when the financial audit is due, or what is the deadline for the Quarterly Report just to name a few.
There are two ways that you can get to this calendar. One is from the Clerk and Technology Support website at http://clerk.lds.org. Then on the left side of the screen click on Calendar.
The other way is if you are already on the LDSTECH website click on Calendar then in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, under Calendar Jump click the arrow and select Clerk and Technology Support Calendar.
I encourage you to take a look at it. Also, if you click on an event you can request a reminder that will send an e-mail prior to the event.

Nice. But since this is the same calendar that appears under staketech.lds.org, is there any plans to include events significant to the STS such as satellite broadcasts?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

There is no longer a "staketech.lds.org"; yes, that URL does still work, but the Church hasn't promoted that address for several months. It is clerk.lds.org now (which staketech.lds.org redirects to). So since it's the same site, it's definitely the same calendar;).RussellHltn wrote:Nice. However, I would like to see the satellite broadcasts added to the calendar. Right now, you can go to the main lds.org calendar and see the broadcast events, but they are jumbled in with a bunch of other events, so it's tough to find them (even though they are a different color).

I was hinting at the bigger issue of if this should be of service to both rank-and-file clerks and STS types. An STS is technically a clerk, but an usual one. It could be decided that each needs their own calendar. (The clerks could find all those broadcasts just clutter up their calendar.) I could go either way. As long as everyone's needs are met, I'm happy.
Actually, one thing I think may be a problem. Given there are so few events in the calendar, I'm not sure as it would be referenced that much. It may be more beneficial to list those dates in a format friendly to PDAs and leave it at that. What would really be nice is if we could get this on the LUWS calendar based on one's calling. :D

I don't know if it can be done but I think it would be nice to have the option to down load the clerk and tech calendar for import into other calendar programs. I download the LUWS calendar and would like to do the same with the clerk and tech calendar. This would give me all the information in one calendar.

This has now been changed so that when you click on Calendar it will automatically take you to the Clerk and Technology Support Calendar. Thanks to those that changed it!

I really like the idea of this however, I cannot find what you are talking about. When I go to clerk.lds.org there is no "calendar" on the left side of the screen. I do not see it on the LDSTECH home page either. What am I doing wrong?

The only thing you're doing wrong is living in the past. This topic is over 4 years old. In the meantime:dankrum wrote:I really like the idea of this however, I cannot find what you are talking about. When I go to clerk.lds.org there is no "calendar" on the left side of the screen. - the clerk.lds.org link now takes you to Clerk Resources, when it used to go to an entirely different site.
- the LDSTech forum site, which used to contain the Clerk and Technology Support Calendar, has been upgraded to use phpBB instead of vBulletin, and as far as I know, phpBB doesn't support the calendar functionality that vBulletin did.
