Display times

#1

Post by oscarschultz »

The web pages are showing last visit and post time in GMT time. GMT is confusing for a lot of people. It would be helpful if there was an option in the profile to set the timezone to display times relative to the user's local time.
It would also help to be able to guess if someone would be replying if the timezone & localtime of a user could be displayed. Sometimes I forget that some friends are not just across town. What has been evening for me has really been morning for them. It helps to remember someone maybe giving up sleep to help.

Also I tend to track my posts based on my localtime - it makes it easier to find the post later if the site is busy.

thanks

I've made a slight tweak to the server and hopefully it will help with the "hour off" thing.

I found a time zone setting.

If you click:
User CP ( in the top left)
then click: Edit Options (in the side bar)

On the edit options page scroll down to: Date & Time Options.
