New Help Center Format Difficult to Navigate

The Help Center seems to be moving to a new format that no longer has the Menu options on the left side of the screen. I found them to be most helpful, because I could drill down using them and find things that did not link from the basic introductory pages. I could also get where I was going faster.

And I have never found the Search function to be helpful. When I am in the Help Center, I do not need to reference Ensign articles or leadership publications and pamphlets. I need to find Help Center information.

The old page seems to flash up for a brief moment, then the links column goes away and I am lost again.

I never did find what I was looking for. I got to the Stake Technology Specialists page and found a lot of training, but I was looking for webcasting and video conferencing information, and some other meetinghouse technology information.

How do I get there now?

I think something major is happening. In addition, you can only get to LCR, if you have a direct link. The main LDS.org page has only limited functions, for me, at the moment.

Just checked the lds.org home page again and realised that the Sign in option, is the last entry in the new triple horizontal menu bar, now on the left side of the home page.

It must be a selective (or random) test. I don't see any change in lds.org or the help center.

I think you are right. I now have a new lds.org home page formatted similarly to the Help Center pages I saw earlier. The sign in and menu are still at the top right in a drop down box, however.

The new format has two inches of white space on each side, and everything else squished into the middle remaining space. I hope they are still experimenting.

All my observations yesterday afternoon, were made using Chrome on an iPad. Today using Chrome on a PC, I see what lajackson was seeing. The iPad is still showing the same results today, as yesterday, including a reduction on items displayed in the Help Centre. The desktop version of the Help Centre, still appears to be the same as before the changes.
My guess is to make it less cluttered the mobile website is being updated. With some possible minor updates to the main LDS.org web homepage for desktop computers.
