Missionary Progress Report Filters

I am having an issue with filters in the Missionary Progress Report. When I apply filters, people who should not be filtered out are filtered out. For example, we have a person who is being taught who also has a daughter being taught. They are listed as separate individuals. They are both listed as "Person being taught" in the unfiltered list of people the missionaries are interacting with. However, when I apply the "People being taught" filter, the daughter shows up in the list but the parent does not. All my data has been recently and successfully synched (no errors). This seems to clearly be a bug. Where does one report this? Any ideas for how to work around it?
