With emphasis on ministering and the work of gathering Israel placed "squarely on the shoulders of the elders in Israel" https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/stu ... k?lang=eng it would help if the ward leaders for missionary gathering could edit the progress record to enter sacrament meeting attendance or indicate needs. It would also help if the report and the "New and Returning Member Progress Report" were brought into alignment.
One thought I had was to use the exposed .json output mentioned here https://tech.churchofjesuschrist.org/wi ... b_Services to create a custom application to help with this. Is there anyone or anything that might be an example of this?
Thanks,
James H.

Only church sponsored/approved apps can access church data. Doing so on your own is likely to result in a phone call from the church security department.jameshalgren wrote:One thought I had was to use the exposed .json output mentioned here https://tech.churchofjesuschrist.org/wi ... b_Services to create a custom application to help with this. I'm surprised that wiki page exists. Last update was 2013.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

The focus of the question above is not the .json tool per se, but the the lack of functionality in the "Missionary Progress Record" from the point of view of the Ward. Specifically "...it would help if the ward leaders for missionary gathering could edit the progress record", for example "to enter sacrament meeting attendance or indicate needs. It would also help if the report and the "New and Returning Member Progress Report" were brought into alignment."

There's nobody here who can look into it. This is a user-to-user mutual-support forum. Posts are publicly visible. While a Church developer or two sometimes visit the forum, the developers receive their work assignments from their supervisors and on up their chain of command. It's very unlikely anyone who has decision-making authority over new features will ever see this thread.rsgulledge wrote:...

There are two methods that could bring the right attention to your concerns/suggestions. First would be to use the 'Feedback' link or button on a relevant page. Your feedback will be read by a service missionary, and he/she will route it to the relevant department to take into consideration. Second would be to talk with your bishop or stake president and ask him to raise your concerns/suggestions up the ecclisiastical chain of command. If the suggestion is raised by enough units, it will be considered.

Hello! Is anyone having issues with viewing the Progress record in reports? Mine isn't showing at all anymore. Did they move the report or get rid of it?

Having the same issue. New converts are visible however no other progress reports are present for viewing.
