Tools App Not Working after Recent July 2020 update
The tools app was recently updated 6 days ago. I have logged in several times and after login it shows that it is updating and then it gets stuck for a few minutes and then it resets to requesting I log in again. Each time I log in it repeats this process. I have deleted the app, restarted my phone, cleared my cache and reinstalled the app with the same results. Prior to this recent app update, my app worked just fine. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Are you able to get to the point of sending feedback? That's the best way to bring it to the attention of the developers.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

No, it doesn’t complete the update or allow me to do anything in the app before it goes back to the login screen. I am logged on using my iPad to access this forum. The problem continues on both my iPhone 8Plus running iOS 13.5.1 and my iPad. I hope I can get some help with a solution soon.

I was able to click on help at the login screen and send feedback to the developers. Hope they can fix this soon.

I did not, but I recommend the following:
At the login screen click on help, then contact us. This will creat an email with your device specifics to the developers.

There were some server issues today that were causing problems with Tools sync. Those should be resolved.

July 26 and my app is doing the same thing. Also removed and reinstalled it, but doesn’t work....
Anyone else having the same problem still?

I'm having the same problem on the app on August 2nd. I'll submit feedback via "help" on the app as others have suggested.
