Hiding Email from Mailing Lists

Is there a way to hide an individual email address on a record from all the mailing lists, but not remove it from the record? We have a few members that have requested not to get the mass emails, but not have it removed from their record. For now, we can just unselect their specific emails, but if there is a way to hide it, that would be nice.

The method you are using to unselect them is the only way I know to do it.

This is a common issue. Sometimes members don't want anything from the Church (but don't want to remove their email address from their records). Other times they're happy to receive mass emails from Church HQ, but it's a specific local organization (EQ? RS?) who they feel is spamming them relentlessly. In that case, it might also be good to consult with the org president, to help them understand that in their zeal for sharing info, they might have an adverse effect on certain members.

Also, perhaps helping the member to use an email filter that their service provides, might help smooth the waters.
