When a member has deceased, does their records get updated with their date of death automatically or do we need to manually record this? There was one deceased member that I do not recall if anyone did ever manually enter their date of death to remove their records and was wondering if the city or state death records automatically updates their date of death to move it out.
Also, when we try to set up their endowment for the dead, their genealogy records does not sync up to indicate their membership records if this is a known issue. I have seen deceased members who are still not displaying correctly after 1 - 5 years since their death. How do we sync the records to perform endowment for the dead?

Re: Deceased record updates - updates to Genealogy site
Makes sense that it is a manual process that maybe one of the counselors might have entered the date of death. Why do their records not sync up with the genealogy website in order to do endowments for the dead?

What do you mean by sync? Once the membership record has been passed on to FS, I'd expect their ordnances (like baptism) to show up. However, you may have to search for duplicate people to find and combine with them. I'd be surprised if it automatically found your entry and updated it.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
