We used to get one. It stopped arriving more than a year or so ago.

Why can't an elders quorum assistant secretary send a message using "send a message" feature?

We're trying to set up our ward service coordinator with access to send messages to the quorum regarding service opportunities/etc. We've made him an assistant elders quorum secretary in the system in order to give him access to "send a message" as part of the EQ presidency. But it isn't working. He can't see it.

What might we be doing wrong? Anyone else had success getting assistant secretaries in EQ an ability to send messages?

Not sure this will help, but in case it might: Are you sure the calling is recorded as a _standard_ calling rather than a custom calling?

And have you waited at least 24 hours for the rights to work it's way though the system?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Go to “Other” in LCR, open the Access Table, and I don’t think you will see many assistants with access to Send a Message. You could ask the bishop to call him to the relatively new calling of Email Communication Specialist which has access to SaM.

This is true, but the EQ secretary is not separately listed and he has access under the heading Elders Quorum Presidency. I wonder if they forgot to add the assistant secretary when that calling became official, or if they intended to leave him out. Perhaps a note at the feedback link would be in order.

I have been using the icon in the tool bar to successfully create links for urls by substituting a single word or phrase but today it's not working... I'm guessing I am not following the procedure correctly but after several attempts I can't figure out what I am doing wrong... Any ideas?

I see today that the Send a Message messages are adding the Church logo at the top and then the name of the ward in semi-bold flush left, with a lot of while space all around at the top. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug, or just someone experimenting at HQ and then left for the weekend, since it was not announced. Will see how long it lasts.

Interesting – I wonder if it's in response to suggestions like this: Official Digital Letterhead for a Unit

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR is appending a logo and unit name

We are also seeing this now with messages sent from the Gayton Ward of the the Richmond Virginia Stake.

It is not the full logotype with symbol.
It only has the unit name, doesn't mention the stake name,
or a geographic location.

It makes the message look like some kinda spammy scam.

I was hoping that it was some well-meaning but confused local leader
misusing some little-known default auto-append text setting.
That I am seeing messages about it from members
in other parts fo the US is not encouraging.

NASA, we have a problem.
