Does a "Lodging Tax" get reimbursed under the "Utah Sales Tax" category?
Girls camp stayed in a cabin and the receipt has separate line items for "Lodging Tax" and "Sales Tax". I'm assuming that only the Sales Tax gets reimbursed under the "Utah Sales Tax" category, and the "Lodging Tax" is just part of the expense that comes from the ward's "Girl's Camp" budget category, just wanted to verify this or at least see what others have done.

You have a member submitting a receipt for reimbursement, correct? Take this in the spirit in which is is intended, but I don't think it makes any difference one way or another.

It does make a difference, but not at the local level.
It makes a difference when the church applies for a refund on the taxes.

Probably the only way to be absolutly certain is to contact the GSD or church Tax Administration department (see Handbook section 34.8 for contact details).
However, based on this web page, it looks like lodging tax in Utah is considered a form of sales tax and is eligible for reimbursement to the church.
