I can only go by what they sent me today. It sounded like a change in policy to me. Your mileage may vary.

I saw the other topic. I agree with you that it would be a change in policy.

My husband and I both use Yahoo for our email and we stopped receiving emails from LCR about 3 weeks ago. I am the email communication specialist in the ward and have always received confirmation that I have sent messages to members of our ward, but that is no longer happening as well, so I don't know if anyone has received what I have sent. So, along with that, we haven't received confirmation of any donations that we have made. A little while back (maybe about 3 months ago or so) there was some sort of disconnect between the church's site and Yahoo, but that got corrected within a few weeks.

I don't know what emails you are referring to; but if you meant if they read the posts in the forum, then the answer is no. The forum is user-to-user help, support, and discussion. As such, we try to help each other with solutions and workarounds that are in our personal and collective control or expertise. The people who manage the websites, programs, and tools do not normally visit the forums.
JD & Forum Administrators,
Has this issue been communicated to official church technology leaders since there are multiple threads and obviously a widespread problem that church notifications no longer works for Yahoo users?

The official answer can’t be “just create a new address with a new provider.”

The ICS department is aware of the problems associated with email systems and have been for quite some time. All feedback sent using the feedback links on church website pages, through the Help Center 'Contact Us' reports, and communications through the Global Service Department are routed to those responsible for managing these systems. Unfortunately there is little communication in the reverse to those of us in the general population as to program development or schedules of program efforts.

There is no official answer to the email system issues as far as we know. There may never be any official answer. If, and when, the issues are resolved there most likely will be no official announcement either. It will just happen. For now those who have found a workaround have posted those. If other workarounds are found we hope those who find them post in the Forum.

Be aware the technology programs in the church have customers that are not the users of many of those programs. Church departments, councils and committees are the customers. They direct the priorities for development and addressing issues. The Tech Forum administrators and moderators have no official representation or communication other than a small number of employees (a few moderators/administrators and forum users) that can represent their teams efforts in keeping us informed in a limited capacity. They cannot represent or speak for other teams or programs. We try to take as much advantage of what unofficial communication each administrator/moderator has, can develop, or has developed to keep the forum users informed.

Thank you for responding. I realize the forum moderators aren't church technology employees, so I don't expect you to personally fix any issues people report here. I just wanted to make sure the issue had been passed along to ICS since it wasn't obvious to me in any of the threads on this topic that they were.

I'm glad to hear that the ICS department is aware. Hopefully they will have a resolution within a week or two.

I wouldn't count on that. This problem has been affecting members for years. If it was an easy fix, I'm sure it would've been resolved by now.

It's been on and off for years, but this most recent round seems to have started early June.

My son who is serving a mission outside of the country has not received my
emails for 3 1/2 months. My husband has to forward my emails to my son. My
son can email his letters to me, however when I try to forward his emails
on to anyone with a missionary.org account they don't receive the emails.
Is the church blocking my email account? How do I resolve this issue? I
really don't want to create a new email account.
