Okay folks...my research skills are lacking and it is probably right in front of me but...

What do we do when the new clerk pc shows up with a Spanish version of Windows on it?

Thank you,

John

Contact your stake clerk and/or stake technology specialist.

ps They should have noticed this when it was set up for your unit so it seems a bit baffling to me.

The display language you select changes the default language used by Windows features, such as Settings and File Explorer.

Select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language.

Choose a language from the Windows display language menu, or, under Preferred languages, select Add a language to install the one you want if it isn't listed.

I can see three possible solutions:
  • Change the language of Windows. My only concern there is if you have some kind of version not intended for your country. It could lead to constant problems in updating.
  • Kick it back to FM to get the right version/image.
  • Contact church support for guidance.
The above is assuming you are the stake technology specialist. If you're the clerk, I'd inform the STS.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
