Zoom Closed captioning Translation feature

#1

Post by wgotzmann »

We are interested in having this feature avalable during Stake Conference and possible some sacrament meeting

This is new in Zoom at an extra cost - about $65 / year ( I was quoted this directly by Zoom ) to add to our account

The issue is the special zoom account we are issued

There are many reasons this would be helpful for our Stake - we would pay the difference if we could find a way to arrange this?

Has anyone else tried or considered adding this?

I personally have used closed captions for English for some time and do find it helpful.

Sounds interesting but as a supplement to voice interpretation. Would be interesting to see how well this works for languages such as Korean. My understanding from our Interpreters is that they need to wait for the end of the sentence or concept before they can start translation. It is not a word for word replacement.
