New unit not appearing in Member Tools

New unit not appearing in Member Tools

I have been a tech specialist in my stake for a short while and someone reported that a new unit (formed 4 weeks ago) is not appearing in the Member Tools app. I verified by checking on my phone & performing a sync and seeing that it indeed was not there. I checked churchofjesuschrist.org and interestingly found that it does appear there. I have synced the Member Tools app several times over the past week but still no sign of the new branch.
Does anyone know if this is normal? Is there something I can do to get a new unit to appear in Member Tools?

Something you might try: Log out and log back in. If that doesn't work, delete the app and reinstall it.

I'm wondering if there's an issue where a sync don't pull in a new unit but a complete reload will.

Either way, I'd report it to the developer via the app.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Oh hey, thanks! The log out & in worked nice and fast. I had to poke around a bit and found I had to go into Settings & then Sign Out. I then just signed back in and I saw the new unit right away.

It's possible that the paperwork for the new unit creation did not get processed correctly or on time. I would check with the stake clerk to see if he knows anything and/or can check the CDOL, and if no clues there then he can check with the GSD.

Another thing to try (for those with this issue in the future) is going to Settings > Refresh Data. That will clear and re-sync the local database without logging you out.
