erroneous record
We have a family that moved into our Ward. One of the children (two years old) has two membership records with different numbers. The only difference is that the first name is mispelled on the erroneous record. How do we eliminate that record?

Assuming there might be pieces of information from both records that might need to be merged, contacting the GSD would probably be the best idea.

Re: erroneous record
Assuming one record is valid without the need of correction, I think you can merge them in LCR. I don't have access to LCR, so I'm not sure of the menus. It may be under "delete" and when it comes to the reason you can specify that it's a duplicate.

Re: erroneous record
Doesn't that simply delete the one record without merging any attributes? If the other record is complete and accurate, so there's no need of merging, that could be fine. Printing the IOS from each record or the two records themselves and comparing side by side should help determine whether there's a need for an actual merge.

Re: erroneous record
Yes, but taking OP's statement at face value, it appears one record was complete and didn't need correction.rmrichesjr wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 5:17 pm Doesn't that simply delete the one record without merging any attributes?
