How do I find the publication date of a video in the church media library?

You can get an approximate date by downloading the video and looking at the file name (Church media files often follow a naming convention that includes a month and year). If your browser has a status bar at the bottom, it might show you the URL (which includes the file name) when you hover over the video download link, without having to click to actually download it.

As an example video:
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/media/video/2022-12-0190-a-christmas-message-from-president-russell-m-nelson-lighttheworld?lang=eng&alang=eng&collectionId=bb99b5e9f37d09bba5d32046e551f7196a301950
When I download this video, the filename is "2022-12-0190-a-christmas-message-from-president-russell-m-nelson-lighttheworld-360p-eng.mp4".

Unfortunately, the month and year (2022-12) is approximate – sometimes it's the month and year it was recorded, not when it was actually published/released. And depending on where you download the video from, it may or may not follow the same file name convention.

If the same video is published on the Church's social channels (YouTube, Facebook, etc.), you can get a more precise date. For example, here's the same video as above, on the Church's YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtVTTx2TnaU

If it shows a relative date, like "1 month ago," you can usually hover over the relative date to get a tooltip with the precise date (in this case, it shows December 18, 2022).
