Meraki MR33 vs MR-36

#1

Post by RyanGard1977 »

It has been passed along to me that the church is now utilizing the MR-36s. However- I still have a handful of MR-33s as spares which I was planning on using soon for adding some additional APs to a few buildings. Am I ok to do this with the 33s or must they be 36s?

Thanks

Yes, for now the MR33 APs can still be used on Meetinghouse networks. They are not produced by Meraki anymore, and may be completely replaced by MR36 or newer devices in the future, but until we hear if/when that will happen, we can continue to use MR33 devices.

They can also be interchanged. We have had several MR33 go bad and we are being shipped MR36 as replacements.

Yup. The FMs are now ordering MR36s but I still had some MR33s that I wanted to use up first before we started utilizing the 36s. Thanks again!
