Gender correction on baptism record...

How do I correct the gender of a baptism record? The child is female but is showing as a male in member list.

I believe there's something like a "special request" function or at least a email you can send the request to Church Headquarters. Someone will have more details.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

If the record has been created in the last 3 months and doesn't have priesthood ordinances attached to it, you should be able to EDIT the record in LCR and change the gender. Otherwise you'll get something like this:
"Because this record was created more than three months ago, this member’s gender cannot be changed unless authorized by the Office of the First Presidency. Please contact the Global Service Department."

Can you share the Global Service Department email address for submitting this request? Ideally this is an email request, not necessarily needing to make a phone call.

We went through this process last year, for a child record that had been entered wrong a number of years ago (inactive family, so nobody noticed, until somebody finally noticed). We were told by GSD that the Bishop is the only one who can do this, and it must be done through his account in LCR => Help => Contact Us. If the Bishop is logged in, it should take him directly to the ServiceNow (aka GSD) website. If you'd rather not use the interactive site to create the ticket, the Bishop can call the ServiceNow phone number or email listed on that website home page.

We actually had to submit a ticket twice -- the first time they said it was fixed, but it never appeared that way on the member record, so we asked them to do it again.

As you can imagine, the Church wants to make sure they understand the nature of the gender change request, I imagine this is why only the Bishop can request this type of change.
