Fundraising

Looking for fundraising ideas for the youth in our ward. We don’t want to do a ward auction. Hate the idea of making the ward members pay additionally for the youth. Would love to do something where we can involve the community. Looked at possibly selling car wash tickets through a local company. Are we allowed to use the church TIN as a non profit to apply for the application to sell the tickets? This fundraiser would be for our young men and young women.

Another idea is spreading bark in the neighborhoods during the spring. Any other successful fundraisers you have seen?

Be sure to observe the restrictions found in General Handbook, 20.6.5. From what you posted there is a good chance to run afoul of the part that states "Examples of fundraising activities that are not approved include: ... Activities completed with paid labor, either by employees or by contract." Included with that is "The sale of goods or services from a commercial business." The sale of the tickets would be the sale of the car wash business services.
