Assigned Missionaries

#1

Post by zaneclark »

The Assigned Missionaries page in Tools has been a very good way to know the missionaries serving in our ward until the last several weeks. It now shows 9 missionaries as Assigned to our ward. I called the mission office, they called SL, and they were told to submit a feedback, which I did. This was several days ago. Does your Tools show only your assigned missionaries or is ours a local problem?

Our missionaries are showing correctly (Android Member Tools).

The developers answered my feedback with the solution. There is a link in Settings to Refresh Data. I had always assumed this was just another way to Sync, but it does much more than that, and it fixed the problem! Thanks Tools developers!

I see the same issue ..... multiple missionaries listed, including those no longer assigned to our unit. I do Sync regularly but that hasn't resolved the issue.

I am not sure who 'adds' the missionaries to our Unit - Tools. Is it the mission office once new assignments are made? Who removes the 'old' names?

The mission office manages the assigned missionaries.

Try going into Settings and do a Refresh Data.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Please note the same problem you are experiencing was solved, as explained by zaneclark in the post just before yours, by using the Member Tools Refresh Data feature that is found in the Settings menu.

Missionary information in Member Tools is managed by your area's mission office. The situation described in this topic thread indicates the missionary names sometimes are not replaced but rather added to the previous set of missionaries. This is not controlled by the mission office but rather an issue with Member Tools. Use the Member Tools Refresh Data feature found in the Settings menu to correct this.
