Our stake is looking to upgrade our old language interpretation equipment. What equipment do you use that works well?
Our current system is ok, but if the transmitter is in the back of the cultural hall the receivers at the front of the chapel get some static. If there are any receivers outside the chapel or in other rooms of the building, the signal really deteriorates as it passes through the cinderblock walls.
Our building is located in Bakersfield CA, USA

Re: Language Interpretation Equipment
If you move your transmitter to the overflow area and and move the transmitter antenna higher and/or use an external antenna (positioned higher) from the manufacturer, you will have a better signal that can reach further before deterioration occurs.

Re: Language Interpretation Equipment
Did you mean transmitter rather than receiver? If you could give a more detailed description of what you have, someone familiar with the options the Church has supplied would likely be better able to help.

Re: Language Interpretation Equipment
What brand are the receivers? If it's Comtek or Listen, then they're intended to be Assistive Listening devices. The transmitter is built into the sound system. Every building should have a set.
Equipment for translation is typically Williams sound. That's only issued as needed.
Either way, the answer is to go to FM for any needed equipment.
