Tangent question. What do we do when someone has moved out of the ward months ago, and their record is still in our ward and will not respond to our attempts to contact them?

This is a common situation. The procedure is to move the record out. In the process of moving the record out the first question presented, "Is the new address known?", should be marked "No". This will bring up an information frame that states "These records will be moved to the Finding Lost Members Report in your unit where you will need to complete certain steps in locating these members." The Finding Lost Members report will identify four steps to take to either locate the member or move their records to 'address unknown' at Church Headquarters.
