If you are having popping issues with your audio-technica pulpit mic (black, not brown), and the mic element is about 1" or so in diameter, the Church discontinued installation of that model a few years ago due to the popping issue you are all noticing.
You have a couple of options:
- Order an AT8159 windscreen from audio-technica. It will fit over your existing mic element and help with the plosive popping issue.
- If this doesn't fix the problem to your satisfaction, ask your FM manager to replace that mic with the newer AT model, which has a larger screen element (closer to the size of a golf ball). The new mic performs better in that regard.
