Missionary Tablet Samsung Galaxy S2
I'm assisting a missionary to find the best deal on a Samsung Galaxy S2 that is required for her mission in Spain. She believes she was sent a link at sometime to purchase one for $299 but cannot find it. Does the church have a discount or group purchase price for the Galaxy S2?

Thank you for your question. Please have her refer to the First-time Acquisition, Set Up and Enrollment instructions under the Mobile Device section on the Missionary Portal, which provide contact information for the Mission Support Team. Thank you.

My daughter set up her S2 and now she has forgotten her password. We did a factory reset, but now it won't let us put in a password. HELP!!!

Hello, kerinilsen,
Thank you for your post. Please have your daughter refer to the First-time Acquisition, Set Up and Enrollment instructions under the Mobile Device section on the Missionary Portal (missionary.lds.org), which provide an email address for the Mission Support Team--they can assist her with this issue. Thank you.

Re: Missionary Tablet Samsung Galaxy S2
I have an old missionary tablet (Samsung Galaxy S2) that I am trying to reset. It hasn’t been touched in a couple of years. I did a hard reset on the device. To set it up, it is asking for the email that was used to set up the device, which I do not know (and if it is related to a missionary email, I do not think it is accessible).
Is there anyway to reset this device for personnel use?
Thanks

Likely not. You can reach out to the missionary support at gsd-missionsupport @ churchofjesuschrist.org but what you're seeing is likely the FRP or factory reset protection which would require the old missionary email it was set up with to be active. The S2 is nearly 10 years old (ancient by electronics standards) and can be found on used marketplaces for $30-50

That's going to limit it's usability. It looks like it was last used with Android 4.1.2. None of the church software supports anything that old. It may be updateable to 13 via a third party os.missionarypro1 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 5:13 pm The S2 is nearly 10 years old (ancient by electronics standards) and can be found on used marketplaces for $30-50
