Hi,
I'm a ward clerk.
I entered into LCR a new Elders Quorum secretary's calling. Which LCR allowed me to enter as "EQ Secretary".
However in 'LCR access by calling,' for EQ Secretary only a "EQ ministering Secretary" is listed. A plain "EQ Secretary" is not listed as having access to LCR features.
So,... should a "Secretary" calling be also entered as a "Ministering Secretary" so one has LCR access?

Elders Quorum Secretary is included as part of "Elders Quorum Presidency" in the access table. The calling has the same LCR access as the elders quorum president or a counselor.

Re: Access table EQ Secretary not listed
Interesting, because in the Handbook, secretaries are listed separate from "Presidency". Section 30.8 suggests they are not released automatically with the president.

True but the Access Table has always treated them as part of the presidency of each organization. From a rights perspective at least they are part of the presidency.russellhltn wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 1:17 pm Interesting, because in the Handbook, secretaries are listed separate from "Presidency". Re: Access table EQ Secretary not listed
As noted in this thread, they should have all the access they need by entering them in LCR in a standard calling. If they are not entered in a standard calling, they will have no access beyond what a regular member has. If you have entered it as a custom calling, there will be an asterisk (*) next to the calling.MurdockM wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 11:32 am Hi,

Re: Access table EQ Secretary not listed
There continue to be multiple places where secretaries are considered part of a presidency, and multiple places where they are considered separate. I personally agree that it would be nice for the access table to break them out separately, since the Handbook does the same.
And don't get me started on times where clerks or executive secretaries are considered members of the Bishopric...

Or at least come up with some phrase to distinguish the difference. Like "Presidency +".

Re: Access table EQ Secretary not listed
Thanks everyone for all your help.
Yes I entered the person in LCR using the Standard Calling.
He has already sent out a couple of mass emails to all the EQ members, so it seems his access is setup correctly.
